What is a Churches only Foundation? – The Gospel of the Kingdom of Jesus Christ

It’s easy to say out of church and doctrinal correctness ‘Jesus is our foundation’, yet we see all the huge difference in doctrines, teachings, traditions and behavior of churches and pastors and Christians.

It is the particular gospel about Jesus Christ that a group of Christians is embracing!! Which is it’s foundation.

“The gospel” is not just the Romans Road to salvation, that is a tiny and partial part of it. A gospel is all the teachings about Jesus; past, present, and future. It explains why we exist, all Jesus did, his future. His kingship and kingdom. It explains exactly what the magnitude of a Christian is. It explains Jesus’ place and his future and our place in it. It explains the purpose of suffering and how to react to it. It explains the principalities and powers and Satan, I could go on, and on but I’ll save that for another time.

What advice do we give new Christians when they first convert? That is part of our gospel. That impacts that Christian greatly. How do we react to and treat fellow Christians when we disagree? Do we drive them away and fear it or do we value, embrace, and understand it.

That’s why no matter how hard a church tries to be correct outwardly if it’s foundation is error or is partial, we will struggle with many different things in addition to all the troubles in life that we must face anyhow.

The gospel of the kingdom of Jesus Christ, as it’s called by John and Jesus and the apostles, produced the type of churches we read about in scripture. That particular gospel. And the churches that we see today have been produced by other gospels.

That gospel must be embraced, and to be embraced it must be known, and to be known it must be preached. And to be preached it must be restored and planted into hearts of preachers and teachers.

I know with certainty that Jesus Christ is restoring it. I just hope many, many embrace it. But when we do ..there will be trouble.

Too Much Negativity, Too Much Positivity

Some negativity is evil, unnecessary and emotionally exhausting. But other negativity is godly and flows directly from mouth of God.

Similarly some positivity is evil, deceptive, and should be completely ignored. While other positivity is from the Spirit of Christ. How can we know the difference?

“Faithful are the wounds of a friend; profuse are the kisses of an enemy.”
‭‭Proverbs‬ ‭27:6‬ ‭ESV‬‬

Sometimes a godly loving friend will wound us. Sometimes an evil motivated and confused person will flatter and “kiss” us. It takes spiritual insight and wisdom to know the difference.

Consider the source, consider the maturity of the person warning or flattering, is there balance? Are they always negative or always positive? Have they demonstrated the ability to be led of the Spirit of Christ? Do they have demonstrated ulterior motives in constant negativity or in constant positivity?

Do they acknowledge and have a biblical foundation to both negative and positive feedback for other Christians?

When there is a lot of criticism and negativity in a culture. Then weak people often stop regarding all warnings about the bad paths we sometimes find ourselves on, or the paths we are leading others down.

We sometimes get disoriented and disregard all criticism as empty negativity to ignore.

But that doesn’t mean at all that all criticism is in fact just empty negativity!

Sometimes it is the spirit of Christ trying to correct and bring sanity specifically to us. Jesus did and still does this today.

Just because we are tired and don’t want to listen, that says nothing about the value of listening to the mature people that are in our lives. Just because the person warning seems old or uncool or negative doesn’t mean we should ignore.

The warnings from the Christians that God places in our lives, especially warnings that are well thought through, articulate, and from trusted people …should be given special consideration. They still can be wrong but listen and consider carefully and repeatedly, with Bible in hand.

Christians today are often gaslighted against wisdom and sanity and by worldly, spiritually empty, professional voices …who just happen to routinely have a mic in hand, (eye-roll).

Two Types of Christian Ministry

Christian ministry as designed by Jesus Christ:

•Learn how to be led of the Holy Spirit of Christ, (this is a Christians #1) then do only what we hear and see and know that the Lord doing within you or those around with us – cooperate with Christ.

•Gather together with other Christians in any and every way possible, share the Lord with them, listen for the Lord in them.

•Generously share your wealth with needy Christians and other needy people who come into your life.

• The End / the goal is to please the Lord and to cooperate with the Holy Spirit, he controls the End, he is the measure of success

• The Means is easy and light and is described in the first three points above. And we simply entrust all fruit/ all results to Jesus Christ himself

As opposed to 👇🏽(2022 counterfeit version of ministry)

Church ministries are handed down to family members or close associates by line of succession:

1) Be loyal to the right powerful man or group of men! #1 most important.

2) Serve that man’s particular “vision” with loud and open passion.

3) Vigorously obey their unique set of church rules (different in every church, may be called culture).

4) Have the attitudes he/they want, even if you have to pretend.

5) Don’t tolerate disagreement in your interactions, (cold shoulder them or drive em out)

6) Portray yourself as agreeing with everything whether you actually do or not (helps with the marketing.)

7) Ask for “promotions”, like we would in a business.

8} Share your money exactly how he teaches/ wants, may be called tithes (in error).

9) The End / the sole measure of success is more people present in the meetings.

10) The Means: whatever it takes while repeating steps 1-8.
