“I have my ministry, you do yours”
“I have my destiny and calling, (aren’t I wonderful?), what is yours by the way?”
Translation ….”leave me alone, stay in your lane, while I isolate myself.”
This is the churchy version of rugged individualism, otherwise know as isolation or it can be a form of the pride of life, and be not confused it is godless.
It’s not like that in the kingdom of heaven. In the kingdom of Jesus it’s like family, that can do conflict, and can challenge one another. And their ministry is not a collection of great individual ministries, it’s ONE ministry they all do together after years of grinding and conflict and forgiveness and learning and living together in Jesus Christ.
Pastors and leaders who understand this want to merge their churches, not put a fence around to keep those, who might challenge them, in their lane.
