It is quite impossible to follow Jesus if we prefer lies over truth simply because …we like a certain lie-teller.

This is the epitome of politics right now, but it can apply to friendships and other relationships.

..if we prefer lies (for whatever reason) we have become hostile to God.

Jesus Christ IS the truth. He encompasses all that is true.

Lies are defined by him, period. No matter how attractive and compelling lies are. HE gets the final word. When we walk away from him, we walk into idolatry and bring spiritual trouble to our lives.
