A Poem, Take Me Home

wrote this today,

Take Me Home

Two or more gathered,

the place I belong.

Two or more gathered,

For Jesus Christ, we are drawn.

Two or more gathered,

where we are, He calls home.

Two or more gathered,

His precious living stones.

Two or more gathered,

God dwelling on earth.

Two or more, please gather,

‘Cause that’s where I belong.

Two or more, please gather,

where He is I call home.

Mathew 18:20 NASB “For where two or three have gathered together in My name, 1I am there in their midst.”

Modern Edits of 1 Cor 14:24-25

I was reading 1 Corinthians 14 and realized most Christians of today would probably want to EDIT 1 Cor 14:24-25.  Many of us might edit this passage of scripture to read something more like this:

24 But if an unbeliever or someone who does not understand comes in while everybody is prophesying the qualified pastor is prophesying, he will be convinced by all convinced by the eloquence of a sermon that he is a sinner and will be judged by all judged by the pastor’s polite altar call. 25 and the secrets of his heart will be laid bare, so he will fall down and worship God, exclaiming, “God is really among you” “God really speaks through your pastor.”

Four Amazing Greek Words

chair_circleI’ve been engaged in intensive studies about Jesus Christ since January, I feel like I’ve just scratched the surface about him, all he said, all he did, all he is doing through his body and all he hopes to  through his body, in the earth.

In these studies I’ve discovered some key greek words which I wanted to share here on my blog.

Understanding these three words I think can help a person to understand Jesus Christ and what his plan is for his people and this creation we live in.

  1. Koinonia – communion, mutual love, sharing of life
  2. Ecclesia – the church of Jesus Christ, the body of believers current living on the earth.
  3. Karpophoros – creativity, the fruitfulness of human beings
  4. anakephalaiosastha – (unite) gathering things together and presenting them as a whole

I would tie them all together with the following sentence:

“The Ecclesia is intended for koinonia with one another, with God the Father, with God the Son, and through God the Spirit. The result of this being anakephalaiosastha of all things seen and unseen and world-changing karpophoros as has never before been seen.”
