The Jesus Theory of Everything – Making Predictions Video 5

Jesus as the ‘theory of everything.’

This is a follow on video to videos 3 and 4. In these videos Adam discussed two mysteries of the Universe as highlighted by Brian Green. Adam also proposed that Jesus Christ is an acceptable theory of everything. If we can accept (or assume) that Jesus is in fact the theory of everything. A powerful universe of insight about reality is opened to us. We can begin to make accurate predictions about absolutely everything.

Any theory when proven or accepted can be used to make predictions about the future. If Jesus is in fact an acceptable theory of everything then accurate predictions can be made. Adam begins to make some powerful predictions in this video and in the next.

Three Predictions:

  1. Jesus Christ will have an increasing importance in all societies. Believe in him or not, for negative or positive, all people’s, all nations will be defined by him.
  2. Jesus’ teaching and ideals will increasingly become the norm. That which is considered politically correct by the masses will increasingly be aligned with Jesus Christ. Whether they acknowledge or are loyal to him or not.
  3. Biblical depictions and descriptions of our material world will increasingly be accepted as fact. This will be seen in all religions, philosophies and scientific communities.

Please comment your thoughts below and share this if it blesses or inspires (or angers) you. To see the next three Jesus-based predictions for the future see video 6.

Three Antidotes for Gossip

Gossip Is Like Poison

Dave Ramsey said in his entreleadership blog post here that gossip is like poison.

A few years ago I was visiting friends where we were gossiping about a certain person, (myself included unfortunately.)

At one point during the conversation I said “yeah and I am the only person who has ever called this person out on their behavior, I am the only person who cares enough to actually say something to them”. Which was true, I have gone to this person before in an attempt to call them out.

In response to this: “Yeah but there is no point in saying something to them…they are never going to change”

That struck me, it was then that I realized the foundation of gossip. The foundation of gossip is abandonment, she might as well said “I don’t care about them and, I dont care enough about them to help them change.” Long-term gossips don’t really want people to change, I think they need people to feel superior too.

I felt discouraged after I left my friend’s house. This conversation had broken down respect and trust in the people I was talking to. And still the person we were talking about had not changed.

Gossip is a relationship poison which spreads like wild-fire in organizations from top down. It doesn’t only poison the victims but also the gossips.

Three Antidotes

If you are a gossip yourself or hate to see gossip here are three antidotes to this poison. Anyone can learn to use them.

  1. Go to the people being gossiped about and gently ask them rather than talk about them. If your relationship is too shallow to do this then there really is no point in discussing further. It is a waste of time and energy. Begin to care about how you spend your time and energy.
  2. Shoot it down when it starts, this takes a little courage and might start a fight, Dave Ramsey does this in his organization by immediately calling the victim into the room. He starts to ask them about the issue openly.
  3. Simply walk away, this is the easiest tactic that most people use to stop gossip. If done right this can be very effective.

In any case it takes self-respect and insistence on openness to stop gossip both in yourself and in others.

The Fragrance of Jesus Christ

A Jesus-Dream

My dream is that knowledge of Jesus Christ would spread as a continuous fragrant offering up to God. Spontaneous, world-wide, uncontrolled and unstoppable. May his assemblies spread, and may his representatives spread this sweet fragrance of Christ all over the planet. Not through sermons and mass by professionals but by every person in every town in whom Jesus dwells.

When Aaron trims the lamps at twilight, he shall burn incense. There shall be perpetual incense before the Lord throughout your generations. – Exodus 30:8

I think the prophet Malachi, the apostle Paul, and many others, also had this dream. Notice in the verse below that Malachi said “among the nations” and “in every place“. His prophecy involved everywhere, not only in Israel. Notice that Paul said “through us“, he was not speaking of his team of leaders but to the entire assembly in Corinth, every member.

“For from the rising of the sun even to its setting, My name will be great among the nations. In every place incense is going to be offered to My name, and a grain offering that is pure; for My name will be great among the nations,” says the LORD of hosts.” – ‭‭Malachi‬ ‭1:11‬ ‭

“But thanks be to God, who always leads us in triumph in Christ, and manifests through us the sweet aroma of the knowledge of Him in every place. For we are a fragrance of Christ to God among those who are being saved and among those who are perishing; to the one an aroma from death to death, to the other an aroma from life to life. And who is adequate for these things?” – ‭‭2 Corinthians‬ ‭2:14-16

Jesus-people declaring Jesus himself. I look forward seeing to the fragrance of Christ emanating throughout all generations.
